The Henry W. Myrtle Gallery carries a wide variety of works of differing media by various artists around the country.

Robert Bauer

Robert Bauer, a native Iowan, was born in 1942 and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Bauer can be described as a drawing specialist, as well as a painter. His landscapes show evidence of human activity and less interest in pure, untamed stretches of land.

Bauer’s painting process is a combination of working directly from the subject, as well as from drawings and photographs taken during various stages of the painting. He tends to create work in series whether it be portrait or landscape.
