The Henry W. Myrtle Gallery carries a wide variety of works of differing media by various artists around the country.

Michael Bond

Born in County Durham, North England, Bond was educated at Rutherford College and Newcastle University, where he studied Estate Management, Art, and Law. He immigrated to the United Sates in 1976, and studied printmaking in Minneapolis and at the University of Wisconsin. Though he makes his home in Wisconsin for part of the year, Bond reserves large blocks of time for returning to England to draw.

Bond has been inspired by The Masters, namely Whistler, Rembrandt, and Turner. He employs various intaglio printmaking techniques, including etching, aquatint, drypoint, and a la poupee (a process of printing many colors from a single plate: colors are painted directly onto the plate before printing), as well as, handcoloring (watercolor) and monoprint.

Henry W. Myrtle carries many other etchings and drypoints by Michael Bond.
