Chris' love for art began at a very young age. It continued to grow throughout her teen years being influenced by her appreciation and love for nature and the outdoors. She works well in many mediums and endeavors to use unique light to bring her subjects fullness, depth and life. Although experienced with a wide variety of subject matter, she finds the greatest inspiration in the beauty of a simple day wandering about the countryside. Chris' favorite subjects are found in the way the landscape unfolds beneath the sky, the way the morning and evening sunlight play with the trees and flowers bringing them to life while emphasizing their simple yet often overlooked attributes. Using light skillfully, she delights to bring an uncommon emphasis to the colors, depth and details of her subjects.

Chris has won many awards at Art Shows around the country and has enjoyed giving art lessons to children for over 25 years.
