Chris Klassen works from her loft studio in Akron, Ohio. She has an artistic background, trained in printmaking, painting and sculpture. She was a self-taught fiber artist before being rescued by her painting. She travels extensively and sells her work around the country.

This body of work is comprised of colorful acrylic mixed media paintings. The layers of paints, paper, oil stick and charcoal create a texture and depth significant to the work. "I seek to bring a sense of joy and vitality to the painting which transcends and enhances our daily lives."
