Shawn Wolter graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art. With an emphasis in Graphic Design, Minor in General Business.

Currently Shawn's work consists of acrylic paint on canvas or paper. With mixed media such as airbrush, wood stains, glues, modeling pastes, string, collage, canvas and paper.

"To create - To watch something become - This I believe is the essence of every individual with a vision or idea. Whether it is in art, business, music, medical or any other profession. Yes, I'm inspired by family, friends, art history, music, the world around me, etc.... There are many ways to justify what we do and the decisions we make. In my case, I believe sometimes things can simply be beautiful."
