Robinson Scott

Each piece of hand blown glass is individually designed and created by Robinson Scott. The techniques used to produce these works are thousands of years old and have been handed down through many generations of glass blowers. Scott received his formal training at the University of Minnesota, the Pilchuck School of Glass, Seattle, Washington, and as an apprentice to Swedish Master glass blowers, Jan-Erik Ritzman and Svenne Carlsson.

“I will always be influenced by the importance of simplistic designs that enhance and accentuate the depth, reflectivity, translucence and other qualities that naturally occur in glass. The spontaneous nature of the glass making process holds my interest and keeps me coming back to it. The predictability and unpredictability of glass, creates an atmosphere of discovery, learning and continual growth.”
